Please inform us regarding any medications you take regularly. Some drugs contraindicated before Surgery. The pills for chronic diseases like diabetes, high blood pressure should be taken as prescribed. For other types of drugs, please contact us for detailed information.
I’m using Minoxidil and Propecia. Do I have to stop them before Surgery?
You should stop using Minoxidil one week before the Surgery. You can continue taking Finasteride.
We also ask the patients to stop alcohol consumption a few days before the Surgery.
I am taking anti-coagulants. Can I Have Surgery?
Blood-thinning drugs (anti-coagulants) like Aspirin, Warfarin, Clopidogrel, etc., should be stopped as they increase the risk of bleeding during surgery. The primary care physician of the patient should give the decision regarding stopping and using these kinds of medications. Please inform us regarding any medications you use.
