A crucial point here is that we should separately evaluate an ongoing or Androgenetic Alopecia (MPB) from sudden hair shedding, a.k.a. Telogen effluvium. Telogen effluvium may occur at any point in someone’s life. The primary cause of this can be a trauma (physical, emotional, or mental), medications, or acute disease. In the telogen effluvium phenomenon, the hair grows back in 6-12 months.
